Frequently asked

Quick answers to the things people ask most.

What is TeeUp?

TeeUp is a social app that matches golfers by location and playing vibe, so you can find partners you'll actually enjoy a full round with. You can browse open tee times near you, join rounds, post your own open spots, and build a crew of golfers to play with — currently across Greater Victoria and the Lower Mainland.

How do I create an account?

Open the app and sign up with your email and a password. There's no email confirmation step, so you're active right away. From there you can set up your golfer profile — name, handicap, home location, and your vibe tags.

How do I post or join a tee time?

Tap the + button to post a tee time: pick your course, date, time, holes, cart or walking, group size, and how many spots are open. To join, browse the Feed and tap a round — you'll either join instantly or send a request the host approves, depending on the round's settings.

How does matching by "vibe" work?

When you set up your profile, you choose vibe tags like "competitive," "just for fun," "fast pace," "go with the flow," "music on," or "social drinks." In Find your squad, TeeUp highlights golfers nearby who share your tags so you can connect with people who play the way you do.

Why isn't distance or "closest" sorting working?

Distance and closest-location sorting only work once you've shared your location with the app. If you've declined the location prompt, those features stay off. You can enable location access for TeeUp in your device's settings, then reopen the app.

How do I report or block someone?

On a golfer's profile or within a chat, use the block or report option. Blocking hides that person from your view. Reports come straight to our team — if you ever feel unsafe, please also reach out to us directly using the contact options above so we can look into it quickly.

How do I change or delete my account?

You can edit your profile anytime from the Profile tab. To delete your account and associated data, contact us in the app or by email and we'll take care of it. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we store and how to request deletion.

Is TeeUp free?

Yes — TeeUp is free to download and use. Any green fees or course costs shown on a tee time are set by the host and paid directly at the course; TeeUp doesn't process payments.
